Macedonian Community Welfare Association (MCWA) public announcement..
President of the MCWA Board of Management, Mr Goran Torbakov, announced today the appointment of Ms Marijana Andonovski as the new Managing Director of MCWA, effective 20 February 2020.
In making the announcement Mr Torbakov said “MCWA is the leading service provider for the promotion of health and wellbeing in the Macedonian community.”
“The appointment of Ms Andonovski to this newly created role reflects the Board’s commitment to the importance of organisational change, leadership, operational responsibility, strategic growth and our long-term sustainability.”
“Ms Andonovski’s extensive career in strategy and business development, operational excellence and executive leadership will position MCWA well for future growth and partnership opportunities.”
Ms Andonovski’s family originates from Bitola Macedonia, and although born and raised in Australia, she is passionate about supporting the ageing Macedonian community and strengthening the role
MCWA plays in Australia. Following a successful Corporate career in the Finance sector, Ms Andonovski has most recently held Executive leadership roles with prominent community-based organisations, managing change and transformation to deliver successful outcomes across the health and community sector.
In accepting the position, Ms Andonovski commented she was excited to work in partnership with the Board to lead MCWA into the future. “The opportunity to lead an organisation with such a long standing and highly regarded reputation of providing welfare services to the Macedonian community in Victoria is both humbling and exciting.”
